“Alongside the teachers who accompany and guide our students throughout their learning journey, there are also those who work quietly behind the scenes yet make invaluable contributions to their growth — the dedicated members of the school’s operations team. Though their work often takes place in silence, it is their tireless efforts that create a safe, enriching learning environment where our students feel secure, supported, and happy every day.”

On behalf of all parents, Mr. Đặng Minh Quang – Vice President of the Dewey Parent Association (DPA) – expressed his sincere appreciation to the school operations team on the occasion of International Workers’ Day.

At the heartfelt appreciation gathering, DPA parents conveyed their deep understanding and gratitude for the silent yet devoted contributions of those who stand behind Dewey’s vision of a “happy school” — providing a safe and inspiring space for students to learn and grow.

This year’s appreciation ceremony featured a special presence: members of the Dewey Student Council (DSC). Their participation not only reflected the students’ gratitude toward the operations team, but also affirmed their role as a bridge between the school and the parent community. The event served as an educational experience in itself, aligning with DPA’s aim to nurture empathy and gratitude in every Dewey student.

Thạch Đỗ Hoàng Anh—president of the Dewey Student Council—shared, “Our operations team has always been a steady support behind every learning project and school event. The professionalism and attention to detail they bring provide the foundation for us to truly shine. We deeply value and are sincerely thankful for all the quiet contributions they make.”

Beyond expressing gratitude, the event also served as an opportunity to foster stronger bonds between parents and the Student Council through open conversations and the sharing of ideas for upcoming school year activities — especially programs for Primary School students and the promotion of school-wide sports initiatives. DPA also expressed hope that the Student Council will continue to play a key role as a connector, helping to build a dynamic, healthy student community.

Founders' message

Dear Parents,

We all know that schools have a great impact on the transformation of each individual and the whole society. In order to be successful in this ever-changing world, schools are not merely a place for students to acquire knowledge or study literacy, math and science. Instead, each school must have a broad vision in constructing the living environment for a new era because “Education is not preparation for life, education is life itself!”

The Dewey Schools is an inter-level school named after the philosopher John Dewey, the modern father of experiential education. At Dewey, we encourage experiential education through student-centered learning. Learning activities are organized with the methods: ‘learning by doing’, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and design thinking which promote comprehensive development in terms of knowledge, skills, social-emotional well-being and further promote an inquiring mind.

The Dewey Schools’ educational philosophy is to inspire students’ growth through the learner-centered approach, which encourages self-education, and assists them in becoming individuals who are independent, responsible, and fulfilled with an inquisitive mind and a love for lifelong learning.

Each student is a creative and active individual in his own learning. Each student participates in constructing their learning journey unfolded over time with the support, consultancy and guidance of teachers who thoroughly understand each of them.

Our students can meet the challenges of the future and influence changes in the world around them if we encourage their natural inclination to inquire and succeed. We can create a better world while inspiring others through the work we carry out together.

We hope to create a better world and generate more significant impacts to realize our pioneering mission to be a school of Inquiry, Innovation and Impact, which parents look for, students love, and staff are proud of.

We are delighted to welcome our dearest parents and students to the future!

Best regards,
The Dewey Schools’ Council of Founders

Another major endeavor has been the development and implementation of a strategic planning framework for the school system, encompassing and aligning both school development goals and improvement goals – a project which will provide direction and context for system growth and improvement from the next five years.
