The Dewey Schools is an inter-level school named after the philosopher John Dewey, the modern father of experiential education. At Dewey, we encourage experiential education through student-centered learning. Learning activities are organized with the methods: ‘learning by doing’, project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, and design thinking which promote comprehensive development in terms of knowledge, skills, social-emotional well-being and further promote an inquiring mind.
The Dewey Schools’ educational philosophy is to inspire students’ growth through the learner-centered approach, which encourages self-education, and assists them in becoming individuals who are independent, responsible, and fulfilled with an inquisitive mind and a love for lifelong learning.

Dr. David A. Wells (EdD) is a Co-Founder, Principal, and Executive Consultant for GLOBAL School Consulting Group, an international consulting and training firm serving schools and organizations around the global with twenty-four affiliated consultants and six partner companies providing educational services.
Dr. Wells is also an affiliated consultant, approved and authorized by CIS to provide services for CIS members schools in governance, strategic planning, leadership training, and recruitment. He is also a former Executive Consultant and Vice President of PAIDEIA, Inc. David has provided consulting and training to approximately one hundred schools and organizations in forty countries over the past ten years. Dr. Wells began working with The Dewey Schools as an international consultant early in 2019.
From the beginning, David was attracted and challenged by the school system’s vision and the Board of Directors’ commitment to impact Vietnam by developing and offering a world-class educational experience for Dewey students. One of the major tasks of his work has been the development of a School Board – to lead and govern the school system according to a governance model built on international best practices and aligned with the business model of The Dewey Schools.
Another major endeavor has been the development and implementation of a strategic planning framework for the school system, encompassing and aligning both school development goals and improvement goals – a project which will provide direction and context for system growth and improvement from the next five years.
The academic programs are interdisciplinary, linked with real-world conditions, and designed by The Dewey Schools Educational Research and Pedagogy Council (ERPC) together with leading educational experts in the US and international consultants.

Cô Janet Hale, Thạc sĩ Giáo dục giàu kinh nghiệm thiết kế và vẽ bản đồ chương trình giảng dạy, chuyên gia tư vấn thuộc Tập đoàn tư vấn trường học Global (GSCG).

Tiến sĩ Toby A. Travis – Chuyên gia tư vấn cấp cao và là một trong những thành viên sáng lập tập đoàn Tập đoàn tư vấn trường học Global (GSCG).
Ông hiện là Tổng Hiệu Trưởng của Học viện Village Christian ở Mỹ và là cựu quản trị viên cấp cao của một số trường quốc tế và song ngữ tại Mỹ. Tiến sĩ Travis là Giáo sư thỉnh giảng, Khoa Sau đại học, Chương trình Quốc tế Sau đại học dành cho các Nhà giáo dục của Đại học Bang New York. Ông là người sáng lập và phát triển công cụ đánh giá TrustED – Khung đánh giá dựa trên thực tiễn và nghiên cứu đã được xác thực, nhằm đảm bảo cải tiến trường học và phát triển lãnh đạo trên cơ sở dữ liệu.
Tiến sĩ Travis chịu trách nhiệm đào tạo phát triển chuyên môn và cố vấn cho các nhà lãnh đạo tại The Dewey Schools để nâng cao chất lượng tổng thể của giáo dục và quản lý trường học.

Thầy Kjell Fenn, Hiệu trưởng Học viện New Covenant đã có nhiều năm kinh nghiệm ở các vị trí lãnh đạo trong ngành giáo dục, đặc biệt là trong lĩnh vực phát triển kỹ năng và xây dựng chương trình học theo mô hình sáng tạo. Cô Karen Bailey, Thạc sĩ Giáo dục với 32 năm kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực giáo dục, 17 năm kinh nghiệm phát triển chuyên môn, và 15 năm kinh nghiệm giữ các vị trí Giám đốc/ Trưởng các dự án giáo dục. Hiện tại, cô đang đảm nhiệm vị trí Giám đốc điều hành công ty Tư vấn Giáo dục Baily.
Cô là chuyên gia tư vấn và đào tạo có danh tiếng trong lĩnh vực ĐO NGHIỆM ĐÁNH GIÁ trong trường học. Cô là tác giả cuốn “Assessing to the Core” (tạm dịch “Đánh giá đến Cốt lõi”).

Quan điểm giáo dục
Sứ mệnh của nhà giáo hiện đại không phải là người truyền đạt kiến thức sẵn có cho học sinh mà là người thiết kế, tổ chức hệ thống VIỆC LÀM để mỗi học sinh có thể TỰ LÀM ra kiến thức cho mình. Chỉ bằng cách đó các em mới có năng lực TỰ HỌC, TỰ GIÁO DỤC để có thể TỰ LÀM RA CHÍNH MÌNH. Educational belief:
High-level education brings students comprehensive PHYSICAL AND MENTAL development. The subject knowledge content delivered to students must be in line with the society in which they were born and raised. The school’s teaching method is the method of a modern school, accordingly, knowledge is considered as a product each student must create by themselves through a TASK system. Each of the TASKS entails a manipulating sequence with strict order that enables anyone to accomplish, then create their product with a minumum time amount. The golden rule of the school’s pedagogy is ‘not to give students ready-made products, but instead, they have to create the thing they need themselves’. Rather than compare one student with another, high-level education considers each student as an independent individual who is respected and can develop safely. The fundamental goal of high-level education is to enable students to solve real-life problems as much as possible, which benefits their ability to self-study and self-improve.

Cô Amy Rachelle Krauth là Giám đốc Chương trình Tiếng Anh tại The Dewey Schools cơ sở Tây Hồ Tây. Cô có bằng Cử nhân trong lĩnh vực Sư phạm Tiếng Anh, Thạc sĩ sư phạm THCS chuyên ngành Nhân văn học. Cô đã có 20 năm kinh nghiệm giảng dạy Tiếng Anh ELA khối THCS & THPT. Từ năm học 2020-2021, Cô Amy làm việc tại ERPC cùng phối hợp với các chuyên gia của trường MVS và chuyên gia quốc tế để xây dựng chương trình Tiếng Anh ESL/ELA của TDS.
Cô Amy hiện đang theo học Tiến sĩ chuyên ngành Chương trình và Giảng dạy tại Đại học Bắc Arizona tại Flagstaff, Arizona. Trọng tâm nghiên cứu của cô là khả năng tiếp cận chương trình giảng dạy dành cho người học tiếng Anh trong các trường học quốc tế.
