The purpose of the entrance assessment is for the school to understand students’ thinking, skills, and learning performance so that students will be provided with the most appropriate and effective learning environment. Students will take part in the assessment scheduled by the school with the assessment content as follows:

Grade 1: Experiential soft skills, logical thinking, and English proficiency.

Grades 2 – 12: Learning performance test (interview & essay): Literature – Vietnamese, English, Math. The results will be announced within 10 working days following the test date.

Annually, a scholarship program is organized to search for young talents who are qualified to receive from 50% to 100% of the total tuition fee. In addition, Dewey has a reward policy for its internal students who achieve outstanding learning performance in academics, sports, arts, community activities, etc. to encourage them to further develop their capabilities.

Class allocation is conducted with multiple criteria. Classes are not named with numbers 1, 2, 3 as the School believes that this is not a positive way to encourage students’ desire to learn. Our classes are allocated considering the following elements: Male-female ratio, students with leadership qualities, those who are adherents, high achievers, and in need of support. Creating a diverse group of students aims to create a learning environment where students are able to learn and support each other.

As stipulated in the School’s financial policy: “Tuition fee is subject to change annually, the minimum increase is 5% per year and will not exceed 10% per year unless the inflation rate exceeds 10% as announced by the Government or there is another special agreement signed between parents and the School. Parents will be notified at least 03 months in advance from the time of change (if any).”

At The Dewey Schools, teachers assess students’ performance after each lesson, through learning projects and based on each subject’s criteria. During the learning process, if students do not keep up with the progress of the class, the teacher will inform their parents via SSM software to schedule a suitable time to support students. If students are conditionally admitted, the school will develop an after-school enrichment class for students. Teachers are always willing to support children after school to help them better understand the lessons. At Dewey, student success and the quality of the curricula are our top priorities. Students are always closely monitored and provided with timely feedback and support. We ensure that all students receive the academic, social and emotional assistance they need to succeed.

The Dewey Schools’ faculty is a blend of experienced teachers and young, qualified, and dedicated teachers.

– The Vietnamese members are excellent graduates from local and foreign pedagogical universities and institutions.

– The expatriate members are native English speakers mainly from the USA, Canada, and European countries, who are carefully selected based on recruitment criteria that meet CIS requirements and the school’s training goals.

– The homeroom teachers are professionally trained with the homeroom course to ensure the effective performance of their tasks. Moreover, each class having no more than 30 students is the ideal class size for teachers to fulfill their classroom management tasks.

The Educational Research and Pedagogy Council (ERPC) ensures the ongoing and systematic training of the faculty in relation to the domestic and international standard frameworks.

In order to ensure to promote students’ comprehensive development in knowledge, skills, and personality as well as promote their individual talents, the School offers a wide range of clubs to best fit the diverse interests and abilities of the students:

Academic Clubs: STEAM, Debate, Math, Reading, Invention, and Japanese

Skills Clubs: Marketing – Communication & Journalism, Career orientation – Start-up, Coding, MC, Gardening, and Cooking

Arts Clubs: Visual Arts, Music, Singing, Modern Dance, Drama, Latin Dance, Color Guard, and DIY

Sports Clubs: Football, Basketball, Taekwondo, Yoga, Chess, Badminton, and Jacpa
