Established in Vietnam in 2011, Edufit is a pioneer in delivering world-class education. Edufit’s primary investor is Toshin Development of Takashimaya, one of the leading corporations operating department store chains in Japan, with an aim of reforming education in Vietnam and making a contribution to the community.
With a mission of empowering and enabling generations of students with the necessary knowledge and skills to master world changes and be leaders that positively impact communities wherever they are, the Edufit Scholarship Fund will accompany The Dewey Schools to assist the success of young people who are talented and “design” the future of the world with a creative way of thinking, a passion for serving the community, and a desire to pursue and accomplish any field they are interested in.
The Dewey Schools Tay Ho Tay has officially been accredited as an IB World School, authorized to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP, Grades 6–10) and the IB Diploma Programme (DP, Grades 11–12). To continue providing opportunities for future generations of Dewey students, the School is pleased to announce admission for the IB MYP Program for Grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 for the 2027 – 2028 school year. Applicants who demonstrate exceptional talent and outstanding performance throughout the selection process will have the chance to receive prestigious Edufit Scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees for the entire program.
- APPLICANTS AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants
– Students entering grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 in the 2027 – 2028 school year, including both current students of The Dewey Schools system and students from schools outside the system.
- Admission plan
– Grade 6 IB MYP: 1 class with a maximum of 24 students
– Grade 9 IB MYP: 1 class with a maximum of 24 students
– Grades 7, 8, and 10 IB MYP: An additional 10 students per grade are expected to be admitted.

3.1. Round 1
– Parents and students are expected to complete the Application Form HERE to apply for the IB MYP grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 for the 2027 – 2028 school year.

3.2. Round 2
– Applicants will take the MAP tests, consisting of four tests: Reading, Language Usage, Math, and Science, all conducted on a single testing day. Applicants will complete two tests per session, with each test lasting up to 75 minutes. If a student does not complete a test within this time limit, it will be considered a failed result. Applicants will be eligible for Round 3 if they complete all four MAP tests and meet the required MAP scores.
Note: Students who have achieved international English certificates at the B1 or B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference–CEFR (depending on the grade-level requirements for Grades 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10) will be exempt from two assessments: the MAP Language Usage Test and the MAP Reading Test.
– Applicants who are currently studying at The Dewey Schools can use their Fall 2026 – 2027 MAP test results. In cases where a student does not meet the required score in any of the four MAP tests, they may take the MAP placement assessment together with applicants who are not current students of TDS on October 24, 2026.
– Applicants will be required to submit an English-speaking video of no more than 5 minutes to the Organizing Committee, in which they:
(i) demonstrate their understanding and practical application of one of the IB Learner Profile attributes; and (ii) provide evidence of participation in extracurricular activities, competitions, and community service (such as certificates, medals, awards, etc.).

3.3. Round 3 (For scholarship only)
– Applicants will be evaluated by participating in an in-person interview with IB faculty members of The Dewey Schools.
– Applicants will prepare an Applicant Portfolio containing photocopies of evidence of extracurricular activities, competitions, and community activities they have participated in to present during the interview. After the interview, they will NOT need to submit the evidence to the Admissions Committee.

- IB MYP PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- IB MYP Scholarship is only awarded to students with talent, and excellent performance throughout all the selection rounds, and is decided by the School’s Admissions Committee, and meets the following conditions:
– Students enroll in grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 at The Dewey Schools Tay Ho Tay for the 2027 – 2028 school year.
– Students need to complete the admission procedures in accordance with the procedure regulated by The Dewey Schools Tay Ho Tay and commit to complying with the school’s Financial Policy. If these requirements are not fulfilled, the scholarship will no longer be valid.
– Students and parents agree to the school’s conditions for awarding scholarships and sign a commitment form to enroll in the grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 IB MYP classes. 2. Students participating in IB MYP classes and receiving scholarships must maintain excellent academic performance and good moral character, comply with the school’s regulations, and must not commit a level 2 discipline violation. The final assessment results for each school year must also meet the requirements specified by the school. Failure to meet these conditions may result in the scholarship being withdrawn. 3. The scholarship is only valid for deduction from tuition fees, is not exchangeable for monetary bonuses, and is not valid to give or transfer to other students. The scholarship is still applied to students who complete the reservation procedures in accordance with the school’s regulations.
- The details on the settlement of the scholarship shall be specified in the current Financial Policy of The Dewey Schools Tay Ho Tay.
- For applicants who receive scholarships, the school reserves the right to use the names, images, applicants’ works from the competition, information about the competition, and the prizes awarded by the school for communication purposes during the validity period of the scholarship.
- Students who receive the scholarship will NOT be eligible for any other Talent Scholarships or admission discount programs, except for discounts applied due to paying full-year and multi-year tuition fees and incentives for siblings studying in the Edufit Education Corporation, as long as the total value of the scholarship and discounts does not exceed 100% of the tuition fee.
- For children of Corporation employees who study in the IB MYP Program and receive the scholarship, the scholarship value will be combined with the internally applied tuition discount, as long as the total value of the scholarship and discounts does not exceed 100% of the tuition fee.
- IB students will study Grades 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 in the IB MYP Program and Grades 11 and 12 in the IB DP Program and will not transfer to other programs at The Dewey Schools. Please take this into consideration when applying for the IB MYP Scholarship Program for the 2027 – 2028 school year.
