Today, some familiar faces showed up looking completely different! Characters from cartoons, comics and fairy tales came to life, bringing a splash of color and excitement to Dewey’s hallways and classrooms on the final day of Spirit Week.

Halloween Day turned into a real-life runway where TDSers brought their creative ideas to life! Middle School and High School students joined the costume contest, while our Elementary School students took the stage for a fun costume parade. Every new look came with cheers from friends around them. The fun wasn’t just about showing off their own ideas, but also about discovering who their friends and teachers had chosen to become for the day!
With this year’s theme, Wonderverse – The Spark Within, Spirit Week brought five days of five different themes: favorite sports outfits, crazy hats and glasses, colorful emotions, matching looks with besties, and creative Halloween costumes. Through each choice, TDSers had the chance to share more about their interests, personalities and feelings.

What made the week even more special was having friends and teachers join in on the fun. Every unique idea that received a warm welcome and every performance that earned a round of applause helped students feel more confident. By seeing new sides of one another, everyone at Dewey had more chances to connect, understand each other and grow closer as a community.
This is also the spirit Dewey hopes to nurture throughout the school year: a place where every student can enjoy coming to school, feel free to be themselves and appreciate what makes each person unique.

See you at next year’s Spirit Week, TDSers! We can’t wait to see all your fresh ideas and exciting new looks!
