14,000,000 VND is the total amount contributed by 5th-grade students at Dewey Cau Giay to the “School of Dreams”* charity fund of the Edufit Group. This figure is the proud result of the Math – Science interdisciplinary project titled “SWEET LOVE – Touch the Sweetness, Send the Love,” where TDSers learned to take ownership of their learning process and spread positive values to the community.

Born from a desire to apply knowledge to life, the idea for a handmade chocolate workshop was realized through careful collective preparation, aimed at solving the real-world challenge of cost management and profit optimization.
In their roles as managers, the students proactively developed plans, allocated resources, and established operational processes. Mathematics provided the powerful tools for financial statistics, while Science supported ingredient research and food quality control. In this context, knowledge served as the solid foundation for every strategic decision.

The confidence of these 5th graders was clearly demonstrated through the way they led the workshops and interacted flexibly with participants. As organizers, they practiced critical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to master technology. The traditional learning space was expanded into inspiring experiences.

Project-based learning is how Dewey realizes its philosophy of experiential education. When students are given the chance to step into their “firsts”—the first time managing an operation, the first time taking full responsibility, the first time creating real value—each experience accumulates into expertise, transforms into knowledge, and gradually shapes their perspective on life. It is this very process that creates individuals who know how to learn, how to act, and how to choose their own path in an ever-changing future world.
The “School of Dreams” charity project was initiated by the Edufit Group in 2014 to build and upgrade schools and support education in Vietnam’s disadvantaged highland areas. By early 2025, the project had completed 13 school sites across 8 provinces, such as the Bao Nam 1 Primary School (Nghe An), providing decent facilities and spreading love to those in need.
