After traveling nearly 700 km for more than 15 hours from Hanoi and Hai Phong, on the morning of August 24, the Edufit Education Group delegation, including representatives of the Board of Directors, school leadership teams, students and parents from The Dewey Schools, partner organizations, and local authorities, arrived at Pa Ling to celebrate the inauguration and officially hand over the new school facilities to the teachers and students.
Pa Ling marks the 15th school in Edufit’s “Dream School” journey, a community education initiative that Edufit has been steadily nurturing over the past 12 years.
The new school facilities include two specialized classrooms – a Foreign Language Room and a Computer Room – as well as a schoolyard, school gate, and essential equipment and learning materials to support teaching and learning. More than a meaningful gift filled with love for the teachers and students, the project represents Edufit’s long-term commitment to its “Education for the Community” mission. Through the collective efforts of Edufit’s leadership, teachers, parents, and students, the initiative seeks to address three key community needs: improving school infrastructure, providing essential learning equipment and materials, and supporting the development of knowledge and skills for children in remote and mountainous areas.
Following the inauguration ceremony, the classrooms came alive with engaging activities prepared by students from The Dewey Schools. Playing, talking, and sharing together, the young friends quickly connected, turning their first meeting at Pa Ling into a truly beautiful and memorable experience.
Reflecting on this meaningful journey, Ms. Tran Thuy, a parent whose children attend The Dewey Schools Cau Giay and Sakura Schools Pham Hung, shared: “E-Dream is a deeply meaningful journey because the children had the opportunity to visit Pa Ling, see firsthand and experience the challenges faced by students here. Through this experience, they gained a deeper understanding of the value of sharing and realized that every contribution they make can create positive change. That is also what our family hopes our children will learn as they grow.”
“What I remember most about Pa Ling is seeing students whose feet were still covered in mud, who faced many challenges in their learning and daily lives, yet continued to go to school every day. They were always cheerful and bright when learning alongside their friends and teachers. It made me appreciate the value of education even more and realize that being able to go to school and have access to knowledge can itself be a great source of happiness. After this trip, I also hope to continue developing my abilities so that I can contribute more to the community.” – Nguyen Pham Bao Ngoc, a student at The Dewey Schools Hai Phong, shared after the memorable day at Pa Ling.
The new Pa Ling school not only provides students with a more spacious, well-equipped, and modern learning environment, but also continues to inspire hope, keep their dreams of education alive, and open up new opportunities for their future learning journey. Through this initiative, the spirit of generosity, sharing, and responsibility toward the community continues to be passed on to students at Sakura Schools and The Dewey Schools, ensuring that the values we nurture today can be carried forward into tomorrow.
