Leaving behind the bustling streets and familiar rhythm of city life, our young explorers at Global Explorers Camp enjoyed a special day immersed in the peaceful atmosphere of Lang Nuong, nestled at the foot of the sacred Yen Tu Mountain — a place that preserves the timeless beauty of Northern Vietnamese village culture.

Along winding village paths and beneath the shade of rustic rooftops and ancient trees, the children stepped into what felt like a “living museum” of Vietnamese rural heritage. Through an exciting treasure-hunt challenge, they uncovered historical clues and cultural stories, transforming history and tradition into something tangible, engaging, and memorable.
Across the vast mountain landscape, words of encouragement such as “Keep going!” and “Don’t give up!” echoed along the journey to conquer the 3,000 steps leading to Hoa Yen Pagoda. Some eagerly took the lead, some faced the challenge of mountain climbing for the very first time, while others paused to admire the breathtaking scenery around them. Yet every young explorer persevered, driven by curiosity and the excitement of discovering something new.

When their legs grew tired from a day of exploration, their eyes had taken in the majestic scenery, and their hearts were filled with unforgettable memories, the children slowed down to enjoy the refreshing mountain stream. Laughter echoed through the forest, bringing a joyful close to a day filled with simple pleasures that no electronic device could ever replace.

The Yen Tu field trip was more than just a day out. It was an opportunity for students to connect with nature, discover the richness of Vietnam’s cultural heritage, and create childhood memories through authentic experiences. Because some lessons truly stay with us only when they are felt through our eyes, our hands, and our hearts.
