The Dewey Club Fair 2025 is a signature event organized by The Dewey Student Council (DSC) in collaboration with various clubs and schools. Thach Do Hoang Anh, President of the DSC, shared: “The Dewey Club Fair is an opportunity for TDSers to explore new roles, step out of their comfort zones, and take on challenges at a major event. Nearly two months of preparation for this event have brought us invaluable experiences, helping us develop essential skills such as event planning, communication, teamwork, scheduling, and problem-solving.”
The event garnered enthusiastic participation from students, offering countless engaging experiences. Highlighted booths included the Entrepreneurship Club, Scholarship Hunting Club, Basketball Club, and Chinese Language Club, among others. A standout feature of this year’s Club Fair was the meticulous preparation and creative multi-platform promotion by the clubs, creating a platform for self-expression, cultural sharing, and attracting new members while continuously expanding their reach.
Le Bao Chau (6Manchester) remarked: “I was particularly impressed by the detailed booth setup by the DSC. The seniors portrayed the dynamic and confident image of Dewey students, excelling not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities. I also admired the spirit of the Dare to Do Club, with its inspiring message of courageously stepping out of comfort zones to embrace new ideas and overcome challenges.”
At the theater area, the artistic clubs delivered a “Feast for the Senses” with the musical production Golden Dust. This meticulously staged performance was a collaborative effort of five clubs: Music, Dance, Ballet, Film, and Orchestra. Golden Dust was a unique harmony of sound, visuals, and emotions. Each chapter depicted a slice of Hanoi’s journey through history, from the wartime struggles to the period of peace, integration, and development. Through natural acting and confident stage presence, TDSers conveyed a profound message about the beauty of Hanoi and its people—“golden dust” that sparkles brightly in the tapestry of life.
Notably, the entire stage setup, including sound and lighting, was managed by TDSers under the guidance of club advisors. Linh Nhi (10Calgary), a member of the Music Club, shared: “Today’s elaborate performance is the result of our collective effort. The Club Fair connected us and gave us the chance to prove ourselves. I hope that my performance with my clubmates will inspire other students to shine confidently on stage and express themselves boldly.”
The Dewey Club Fair is not just a playground for TDSers to break through their limits but also an opportunity to connect, create personalized learning experiences, actively explore, and maximize their potential. May this spirit continue to accompany TDSers on their journey to becoming confident global citizens, ready to conquer the world.
