The 2023–2024 school year has concluded in an atmosphere of joy and emotion. Each TDSer has put in tremendous effort on their journey of personal development and improvement every day. Amid the applause, the names of TDSers were called out for titles such as Student of the Year, Scholarship Recipient, and winners of various competitions, both domestic and international. This is a testament to their hard work in their academic journey and a proud achievement for the school, accompanied by the guidance and support of teachers and parents.
“Thank you for showing us, your parents, your growth and maturity under the beloved Dewey school roof. As you embark on new journeys, we wish you unwavering confidence in your goals and success in your choicess,” shared Mr. Bui Ngoc Son, a parent of a 5Boston student, with emotion.
The closing ceremony at Dewey is not just the end of a journey but also the beginning of new adventures, new experiences, and new aspirations for the future.
“I love you all very much, I love the teachers; I love Dewey. Dewey, from now on, I can see my future as I continue to grow every day by being with you. I still have much to learn from you, but I will strive to become a good leader with three languages: Vietnamese, Korean, and English. Please support me in the coming school years.” Excerpt from the letter by student Sim Chan Yu (5Atlanta) in the letter-writing contest “Why I Love The Dewey Schools.”
With strong steps and beautiful, inspired, and confident souls, students will reach the places they desire. Daring to fail and make mistakes means they are on the path of learning and success. Let’s borrow the lyrics from the song “May Will Not Return” as a farewell to the 2023–2024 school year.
Silently listening to the wistful wind
The days of coming to class are gone
The laughter is gone
The trees and the red phoenix flowers are now just memories
The teachers’ words are deeply engraved in my heart.
