Sixty universities came together at Dewey for University Fair 2026. For TDSers in Grades 10–12, names they may have only seen on websites suddenly felt much more real through face-to-face conversations: What do you actually study in this major? What does it take to qualify for a scholarship? How is an application assessed? What is student life really like?
That was why every consultation area stayed lively throughout the event. Instead of simply receiving information, students could ask deeper questions, compare different options, and hear directly from university representatives about the things they were genuinely curious about.
So, what did TDSers take away from the day?

A clearer idea of what to look for in a university
A university’s name or ranking is only the starting point. The academic programme, learning environment, internship opportunities, scholarships, and how well a university fits a student’s personal goals are all things worth considering before making a choice.
More specific questions to ask
What will I actually study in this major? What criteria does the university use to assess applications? What language qualifications should I prepare for? What requirements come with a particular scholarship?
The clearer the question, the more useful the answer.

A better way to compare each option with who they are
A well-known university is not always the best fit for every student. Through each conversation, TDSers gained more information to reflect on their own strengths, interests, and future goals before deciding which options might suit them best.
A better sense of what to prepare at each stage
For Grade 10 students, the journey may begin with exploring different fields of study. By Grade 11, the focus often shifts towards academic records, subject choices, extracurricular activities, and language preparation. For Grade 12 students, the information gathered at the fair can be used straight away to review university lists and prepare for upcoming application milestones.
Minh Khôi (12 Austin) shared: “University Fair gave me a much clearer sense of where I want to go in the future. Being able to explore a wide range of universities and the programmes they actually offer helped me think more seriously about who I want to become, and from there, start mapping out a clearer and more purposeful academic path.”

University Fair is one of the many touchpoints within Dewey’s university and career guidance programme, bringing the world of higher education closer to students from an early stage. Through experiences like this, TDSers gain the information, direction, and preparation they need to make informed choices and confidently work towards leading universities in Vietnam and around the world.
