“The Printing Machine” and “The Great Wall” proved challenging for many teams at ENJOY AI Vietnam 2026. To complete the missions and score points, Dewey’s two competing teams had to closely observe how their robots performed, refining their designs, programs and strategies along the way. Their repeated cycles of testing and adjusting ultimately earned them places at the international finals in China this December.

At the National Round on October 18, our TDSers achieved impressive results:
Second Prize: Kang Younggun and Lê Trần Khánh Lâm (10Edmonton)
Top 10: Nguyễn Bá Nam Anh (7Solna)

Their performance on the competition field reflected hours of assembling, programming and testing robots together at the club. Khánh Lâm (10Edmonton) shared: “At the club, we regularly test our robots on the competition mat under different scenarios. This helps us learn from each attempt, adjust our approaches and refine our strategies for the competition.”
Whenever a robot failed to complete a mission, the team would work together to identify the cause and find a solution. Some approaches needed rethinking; some components had to be rebuilt. Through each round of testing and refinement, the students learned to collaborate, stay calm under pressure and make decisions within a limited time.

This December, TDSers will compete at the ENJOY AI International Round in China, organized by the Federation of Global Youth Artificial Intelligence (FGYA). The event will give them another opportunity to apply their robotics knowledge, connect with young people who share their passion for technology and explore different approaches to problem-solving.
In robotics, an effective solution rarely comes on the first try. What matters is that the students kept going when their robots did not perform as expected. They looked more closely, worked together to fix what needed improvement and tried
again. Their qualification for the international round in China is a recognition of the perseverance and growth they have developed over the years at The Dewey Schools.
