For the 2024-2025 academic year, the Primary Social Sciences & Humanities Department proudly presents the annual Vietnamese writing contest with the theme: “Magic in the World of Childhood.”At The Dewey Schools, we hope to bring colorful childhood memories to life through the words of our young writers. This competition not only enhances students’ writing skills but also creates an exciting and engaging language playground for them to explore.
Participants:
Students from Grade 2 to Grade 5 in primary school.
Submission Guidelines:
- Entries can be in the form of poetry, short stories, or prose.
- Maximum length: 1,000 words (approximately four pages of handwritten work on ruled notebooks); illustrations may be included.
- Entries must be original and must not have been published in newspapers, magazines, social media platforms, or books.
- Each student may submit multiple entries.
- The first page must clearly state: Full name – Grade – School – Total number of pages.
Awards:
- First Prize
- Second Prize
- Third Prize
- Honorable Mention
- Collective Prize (for the class/school with the most submissions)

Submission Deadline:
- From February 15, 2025 – March 31, 2025
- Winners will be announced on Vietnam Book Day, April 20, 2025.
How to Submit:
Homeroom teachers will collect and submit students’ entries to the Primary Social Sciences & Humanities Department – Scientific & Pedagogical Council, The Dewey Schools Tây Hồ Tây Campus.
