Today is a truly special day. Since early this morning, every family has carried a mix of excitement and anticipation, waiting for that one moment when all emotions finally come together. At Dewey, our teachers have shared the same feelings: eagerly checking each student’s results, waiting for the good news to come in, and smiling as we see the dedication and perseverance you have shown throughout your journey finally rewarded.
Congratulations! 100% of Dewey students have successfully graduated from high school, with the average scores in Mathematics, Literature, and English all exceeding the national average.
In this letter, we want to share with you something beyond the results you see today.
Throughout your years at Dewey, you have not simply studied to pass an examination. You have learned how to ask meaningful questions, find your own answers, rise after setbacks, listen, collaborate, think critically, and stay committed to the things you believe in.
From the young students who were once shy and unfamiliar with a new environment, you have gradually discovered your passions and developed your own strengths. Some of you have found joy in creativity and the arts; some have pursued a passion for science, technology, or entrepreneurship; some have given your all to sports; while others have quietly spread positive values to the community around you. Each of you has grown in your own unique way, and it is these differences that have created a Grade 12 cohort that will always hold a special place in Dewey’s story.
Many of the most valuable lessons cannot be measured by the scores on today’s report. Yet, they will stay with you throughout the journey ahead. They are the ability to learn independently in a world that is constantly changing. The courage to step into the unknown. The resilience to stay true to yourself among countless choices. And above all, the spirit of self-cultivation — a value that Dewey has always hoped to nurture and accompany you in building.
Ahead of you are university campuses, new cities, new friendships, and new challenges. Wherever life takes you, we hope you will always carry with you the curiosity to explore, the kindness to treat others with compassion, and the belief that you can continue to grow, continue to make a difference, and continue contributing to the community.
Thank you for bringing so many beautiful memories to Dewey. Thank you for allowing your teachers to be part of a meaningful chapter of your youth. No matter where you go in the future, Dewey will always remain a place that welcomes you home.
Congratulations once again! Be proud of everything you have achieved today. And look forward with excitement to everything you will accomplish tomorrow.
