“I am truly happy to witness the remarkable changes in my child each day at school. Even though the time for both learning and preparing for the Showcase was short, I could feel the children’s continuous efforts and the school’s thoughtful and dedicated organization. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the teachers for their patience, care, and companionship with my child. After two meaningful weeks at the Dewey family, our little TDSers wrapped up an unforgettable journey of learning, playing, and growing in the First Grade Readiness Club. The Showcase served as a mini “exhibition,” displaying the children’s “graduation achievements”—vibrant, heartfelt learning products they created.
From initial shyness, the children gradually became more confident and eager to express their thoughts and feelings to teachers and parents. Through four clubs – Language Development, Logical Thinking, Emotional & Social Skills, and Physical Development – our young learners not only gained knowledge but also learned how to love, share, and collaborate with their friends.
Beautiful stage plays teaching lessons about “helping friends in times of difficulty” and “the importance of honesty,” graceful dance movements, and short films capturing the learning journey – all of these were small yet meaningful milestones in the greater journey called “growing up.”
Nguyen Minh Anh (EY Mars class) excitedly shared, “I really love going to school at Dewey! In the Language class, I get to tell stories, act in plays, and feel more confident. In the logical math class, I enjoy solving pattern problems. I also love dancing joyfully with my friends. I want to keep learning here so I can discover even more fun things!”
Grade 1 is a major milestone – the beginning of a long learning journey ahead. The Readiness Club not only equips children with foundational skills and knowledge, but also helps them get familiar with the school environment, make new friends, and connect with their teachers – all within a safe, loving space, guided by a team of dedicated and experienced Teachers.
The Dewey Schools firmly believe that with the strong foundation built today, students will continue to shine and confidently conquer new challenges in the upcoming school year.
