Last weekend, our Global Explorers embarked on a colorful journey of “Ocean Exploration” through a series of hands-on creative workshops!
Using simple materials such as paper plates, colored sand, and miniature decorations, the campers designed their very own mini aquariums, each one reflecting a unique imagination and personal touch.
Familiar seashells and ocean treasures became artistic materials as our young creators transformed them into beautiful artworks, showcasing their creativity, curiosity, and childlike perspectives on the natural world.
In the seashell candle-making workshop, campers carefully selected colors, decorations, and poured wax to create their own scented candles. Through every step, they developed patience, fine motor skills, and the satisfaction of completing something with their own hands.
More than just creative activities, these workshops helped our young explorers strengthen their observation skills, creativity, perseverance, and craftsmanship. This is also how learning is designed at The Dewey Schools—encouraging students to explore freely, express themselves confidently, and grow through meaningful experiences.
