Tight hugs, radiant smiles, and sincere bows of gratitude from students to their teachers on the day of separation—these were the memorable moments of this year’s closing ceremony. This is also a meaningful milestone for TDSers to look back on how they have “broken molds to create their own paths.”

Growth is not something far-fetched; it is present in every small change every day. The youngest members of the Dewey family, who were hesitant stepping through the school gates on their first day, have now become more confident, independent, and mature. For the Middle and High School students, growing up is a courageous journey of stepping out of their comfort zones to assert their unique identity. They confidently express their distinct thinking through each project, boldly conquering international arenas such as the World Scholar’s Cup 2026 and the International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest 2026.

On that journey, the most valuable thing does not lie in becoming a perfect model student, but in being able to remain true to oneself, gaining more confidence and resilience after every experience. As shared by Mr. Duong Hong Phuc: “You do not need to become a copy of anyone else, even a successful person or a ‘model student.’ The school always wishes for each student to maximize their potential according to their own capacity, personality, and journey.” By not applying others’ standards to themselves, they have truly broken away from molds to create their own paths.
Developing in intellect, TDSers have also matured in both awareness and soul, learning how to love and share. This was beautifully captured in the moments they sent their sincere gratitude to the teachers and the school operations team. This proud journey of growing up is the fruit of a connected educational ecosystem, built upon the persistent efforts of students, the dedicated fire of teachers, and the patient companionship of parents.

One chapter closes to make room for even more magical new chapters. We hope that Dewey’s “warriors” will always maintain this breakthrough spirit in the new school year. Keep walking bravely, do not fear mistakes or stumbles—because every time you dare to face failure and stand up on your own, that is when you are truly mastering the journey of shaping your own unique identity.
