Roadmap for G9-12 students

GRADE 9

– Discover yourself: Identify personality traits, interests, strengths – weaknesses

– Learn and fundamentally know about learning and the career world

– Start building a university portfolio: GPA, standardized tests, profile, extracurricular activities, etc.

– Participate in extracurricular activities and career field trips at universities and businesses

GRADE 10

– Register for personal consultations, group consultations, and 1:1 support for students and parents

– Learn about the career world and build a career plan and university portfolio for students

– Build a roadmap to university and study abroad

– Participate in extracurricular activities and career field trips at universities and businesses

GRADE 11

– Register for personal consultations, group consultations, and 1:1 support for students and parents

– Start building a university and scholarship portfolio: GPA, standardized tests, extracurricular activities, essays, interviews, etc.

– Take part in competitions and conduct personal projects

– Receive direct consultation from Study abroad & Career Orientation Specialists from Mount Vernon School (USA)

GRADE 12

– Receive direct consultation from Study abroad & Career Orientation Specialists from Mount Vernon School (USA)

– Take part in 2 major extracurricular activities

– Complete a university portfolio

– Choose 5-10 suitable universities and have an offline/online visit then finalize the university-for-application list.

Highlights

-There are about 10 1:1 consultation sessions throughout the school year for both parents and students in Grades 10 & 11

– The advisors are experienced consultants in Vietnam & USA.

– Orientation curriculum is for students from Grade 6 with sharing from alumni who are studying abroad in countries around the world

– The curriculum is periodically updated with admission policies and entrance requirements of different universities

– Accompanying students in competitions to increase the number of achievements put in their portfolio for studying abroad

– Students are closely monitored so that the capabilities of students and expectations of their parents would be clearly understood.
