“Happiness is not a destination, but a journey.”
That joy reached its climax at the Grand Finale of D-Show 25, marking the emotional conclusion of The Future Me journey. The past six months have been a challenging yet proud chapter—fueled by tireless efforts, passionate hearts, and a spirit of unwavering perseverance.
D-Show 25 witnessed the inspiring “metamorphosis” of nearly 2,000 students, from preliminary rounds to the finale. Once shy and unsure about their future paths, students stepped out of their comfort zones, broke away from limitations, and boldly chased their dreams of The Future Me.
“I had never learned aerial techniques before.”
“I never thought I would one day perform ballet.”
“I had never performed with so many students on stage.”
All those “nevers” transformed into extraordinary moments on the D-Show 25 stage.
The Grand Finale, held on April 12, 2025, featured seven outstanding teams with nearly 600 students from different schools. Together, they painted a vibrant picture of diverse styles and artistic expressions. The students showcased remarkable courage, tackling complex techniques and embracing new art forms. Each team brought their own interpretation of The Future Me, expressing it through unique perspectives and performances.
The students also cleverly incorporated current issues, demonstrating their awareness of social matters and their creative artistic thinking. The audience was deeply moved by a performance reenacting the solidarity and compassion during the historic Typhoon Yagi, delivered by nearly 100 students on stage. The thought-provoking act “Who?”, portraying the confrontation with artificial intelligence, received high praise from the judging panel.
Journalist Hoàng Anh Tú, representing the judges, shared, “The students beautifully portrayed a brave Alpha Generation in their battle against dependency on technology, delivering a powerful wake-up call: The future is ours to define. This performance truly captured the depth and maturity of global citizens in the digital age.”
Ms. Lê Thị Mai Huệ, a parent from Phúc Diễn Primary School, expressed her amazement: “Despite their young age, the students performed with such confidence and authenticity. I believe these experiences on such a grand stage will boost their confidence and enhance essential skills like communication and collaboration—skills that are vital both in school and in life. I could see the pride and joy in their eyes for having dared to express themselves. That is true growth!”
Director Hoàng Công Cường, also a judge, praised the program’s significance: “Though organized at a school level, D-Show 25 felt like a national event. It provided students with a platform to express themselves, showcase their talents, and contribute positively to society. We are living in an era of national growth, and these students represent the rising potential of the next generation.”
Year after year, D-Show continues to evolve and affirm its place as an inspiring school-based arts platform. It is here that a new generation of global citizens—confident, compassionate, and courageous—is stepping into the world.
The Dewey Schools sincerely thank all teachers, parents, and students for their wholehearted support and companionship. Congratulations to all the winning teams. Ultimately, the Organizing Committee believes that D-Show 25 will remain a beautiful memory—a joyful milestone on every student’s journey of self-discovery.
