At this year’s International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest (IKLC), the student delegation from The Dewey Schools made a brilliant impact, bringing home a shower of awards including 5 Gold Medals, 10 Silver Medals, 25 Bronze Medals, and 13 Honorable Mentions.
This achievement is not a matter of luck, but the sweet fruit of a deep-rooted journey toward language mastery. At The Dewey Schools, English is not just a school subject; it is a tool for students to think, research, report, and express their perspectives. The process of preparing for the IKLC was the exact moment TDSers highly demonstrated their self-learning spirit and critical thinking, learning how to connect knowledge with reality to solve complex logical reasoning questions. Stepping into a prestigious global arena and competing against thousands of international peers was an opportunity for them to test their intellectual “endurance.” Their proactiveness, confident demeanor, and flexibility in handling diverse exam formats have proven that: Dewey students are fully capable and confident to adapt to and master any change.
Behind their journey to conquer glory, there is always the steadfast support of silent companions. They are the teachers who dedicatedly guided them and ignited the flame of confidence for them to walk firmly. They are also the understanding, loving, and supportive parents, who are always the solid anchor for them to fly high in the sky of knowledge.
Once again, congratulations to our TDSers on this proud achievement. This will be a valuable experience and a solid launching pad, fueling your motivation to confidently step forward on the journey to becoming global citizens.
