The Dewey Schools is proud to congratulate Hồng Phúc (7Solna), Trí Khang (3Almaty), Thiên Đạo (2Osaka), and Khánh An (2Ulsan) for their outstanding achievements at the International Round of the Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO) – a prestigious academic competition for students passionate about Mathematics worldwide.
TIMO brings together thousands of contestants from various countries, featuring problems that emphasize logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Beyond testing mathematical knowledge, the competition requires students to flexibly apply analytical reasoning, argumentation, and creativity to tackle highly challenging questions. Dewey TDSers demonstrated confidence and resilience at the international level, with achievements reflecting their dedicated preparation and the strong thinking foundation nurtured through Mathematics classes at Dewey.
Participation in the school’s Math team training has helped students develop independent thinking, explore different solution approaches, and build their own problem-solving strategies. Trí Khang (3Almaty) shared: “Our teachers prepared practice worksheets to familiarize us with potential question types, while also helping us strengthen our thinking reflexes and apply knowledge more flexibly.” This learning approach enabled students to face new types of problems with confidence, analyze them calmly, and actively find solutions.
The TIMO journey also offered students valuable opportunities for international exposure, broadening their perspectives and affirming their abilities in a multicultural academic environment.
These achievements are a clear testament to the school’s educational vision: building a strong academic foundation while fostering independent thinking and global readiness. Through such experiences, each student continues to unlock their potential and confidently take on greater challenges in the future.
