Eighty years ago, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh solemnly proclaimed the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and ushering in an era of independence, freedom, and national sovereignty. Eighty years later, that declaration continues to be a wellspring of strength, pride, and inspiration for every generation of Vietnamese people.
On the occasion of the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), The Dewey Schools extend heartfelt gratitude to the generations of forebears who brought independence to our nation. Honoring and appreciating the years of peace built upon the sacrifice of countless lives, Dewey students today carry within them the aspiration to safeguard that peace and continue the journey of national growth and development.

The spirit of “Carrying Forward—Shaping the Future” at Dewey is nurtured in every lesson, every project, and every experience. It is reflected when our students create initiatives that serve the community, join hands in meaningful projects, and step out into the world with knowledge, character, and the resilience of the Vietnamese people. This is also the vision Dewey pursues: to cultivate a generation of citizens who honor their roots, live responsibly, contribute wholeheartedly, and no matter where they go, always bring pride to Vietnam.
