At the SEABA U17 3×3 Championship, Ha Anh (9Zurich) represented Vietnam as part of the U17 Women’s National Basketball Team, competing against teams from across Southeast Asia and helping the team secure its first-ever medal in the competition.
In the semi-final against Thailand, Vietnam fell just short of a place in the final, losing 13–17. Looking back on the game, Ha Anh shared: “It was a lesson for me to stay focused from the very beginning and not let the pressure build up in the final minutes.”

There was little time to dwell on the result. Ha Anh and her teammates quickly regrouped for the bronze-medal match, where they came out strong against Singapore U17 and secured a convincing 20–9 victory. Their performance earned Vietnam a historic bronze medal and gave Ha Anh valuable experience in staying composed under pressure and stepping up when it mattered most.
Looking ahead, Ha Anh hopes to continue competing on the international stage: “I hope to have more opportunities to compete in international tournaments. My next goal is to win a different colour of medal at the regional level, and eventually compete at an even higher level across Asia.”

For Ha Anh, the tournament was about more than the result. She had the chance to adapt to the fast pace of 3×3 basketball, compete against international opponents, and reflect on her own performance after every game. The bronze medal came after weeks of intensive training, with three sessions a day, but the lessons from competing at this level may prove just as valuable as the medal itself.
Congratulations to Ha Anh and her teammates! We’re excited to see where her love for basketball takes her next as she continues to challenge herself on new courts and work towards bigger goals.
