Stepping away from the usual school routine, Dewey Family Day 2026 brought the entire Dewey community together for a day filled with energy and excitement. From the playing fields to the school grounds, TDSers, parents and teachers could be seen cheering, laughing and enjoying every moment together.

The finals in basketball, football, swimming, tug of war and chess were among the most anticipated moments of the day. On the field, TDSers gave it their all, taking on new challenges, working closely with their teammates and showing true fair-play spirit. The excitement grew even bigger as parents, teachers and school staff joined in friendly matches of their own, filling the day with cheers, laughter and plenty of memorable moments.
Away from the competition, families and members of the Dewey community took on a variety of individual games and challenges. From blindfolded drum striking and archery animal races to ring toss, relay sack races, Ttakji and Korean spinning tops, every station brought something new to try and another reason to laugh together. The booths also became perfect spots to take a break, catch up and enjoy the day at their own pace.

This year’s Family Day also gave TDSers the chance to take an active role in creating meaningful experiences for the Dewey community. They came up with ideas, got creative and helped run activities for families throughout the day. Whether competing on the field or working hard behind the scenes, every contribution showed what TDSers can do when they are trusted to take the lead and make things happen.
This is also the spirit behind Dewey’s “Mindful Hearts – Soaring Wings”: opening our hearts to connect, taking initiative to contribute and having the confidence to spread our wings.

Family Day may be over, but the cheers from the sidelines, the hugs after a hard-fought match and, most of all, the feeling of simply being together will stay with us.
