With the goal of enhancing practical experiences and supporting students in their career orientation journey, The Dewey Schools provided Grade 10 students with the opportunity to visit and experience Mega Market Hai Phong. This trip offered them a firsthand look into the corporate environment, while also helping them better understand themselves and their future choices.

During the visit, students explored the storage areas and learned about the operational processes behind a professional distribution system. This created a valuable opportunity to gain real-world exposure to logistics and supply chain management—fields that play a crucial role in the modern economy. In addition, students “stepped into the role” of system staff by locating products, scanning barcodes, checking product information, and verifying data. Through these activities, they realized that behind every product reaching consumers lies a meticulous and well-controlled process.
“This experience brought me closer to the field of supply chain management and logistics, and helped me gain a clearer understanding of how a business operates,” shared Đinh Gia Vinh from class 10 Havana.
As the experience came to an end, new questions began to form: What am I suited for? Who do I want to become? By immersing themselves in a real working environment, students gradually learned to understand both careers and themselves better. The experience also helped develop their observation skills, critical thinking, and multidimensional perspectives on the workplace. As a result, their journey toward future orientation becomes clearer, opening up more suitable pathways toward higher education.
