On a rainy and chilly Sunday in Hanoi, a warm-hearted journey led by the Dewey Tay Ho Tay Community Fund brought love and care to the elderly and children at Social Protection Center No. 3.
One week before the trip, TDSers enthusiastically prepared by wrapping gifts, making handmade bracelets, and planning interactive activities to share community knowledge. Though small in size, each gift carried the dedication and heartfelt sincerity of the students. Their initiative and compassion made the journey of giving even more meaningful and precious.

Despite the unfavorable weather, students eagerly looked forward to meeting the children and the elderly living at the center. Together with teachers, the Dewey community created warm, intimate, and meaningful moments through activities such as bracelet-making, gift-giving, and a workshop on proper personal hygiene. Each activity not only provided practical support but also offered TDSers valuable opportunities to develop life skills, practice observation, listening, and empathy toward those less fortunate.

Hà An (10Olinda) shared, “What I learned from this charity trip was not only how to give, but also how to understand, empathize, and take responsibility in sharing with others. Above all, I feel truly fortunate to be part of the Dewey Tay Ho Tay Community Fund — a place where love is generously shared, especially during the season when Tết arrives and spring comes.”

This activity once again reaffirmed the role of the Dewey Tay Ho Tay Community Fund in accompanying TDSers on their journey of growth — not only in knowledge, but also in character, social responsibility, and nurturing compassionate hearts. Amid the cold weather, lives facing hardships were warmed by the students’ sincere kindness, as meaningful values were shared wholeheartedly.
