Awarded the prestigious “Best Family” Award by the Maybank Financial Sponsorship Fund, the family of student Le Gia Binh (4Napier) proudly represented Vietnam at the 2024 Maybank Financial Education Excellence Awards Ceremony, held in Malaysia. This notable event brought together distinguished delegates from ASEAN countries, leaders in education, representatives from Maybank, and the Maybank Foundation. It served as a platform to honor individuals, families, educators, and schools for their exceptional contributions to advancing financial literacy in the community.
During the 2023–2024 school year, The Dewey Schools had the honor of being selected by the Maybank Foundation to implement the Cashville Kidz personal finance curriculum for children. This program encouraged students to actively explore financial knowledge through experiential learning. Through the integration of life skills education and financial literacy, TDSers gained essential financial management skills. These practical lessons not only fostered their financial thinking but also equipped them with vital life skills, laying a solid foundation to tackle future challenges.
Representing Vietnam at a prestigious regional event was a tremendous honor for Gia Binh. Throughout this journey, he and his family made meticulous preparations to showcase the image of a confident, creative, and responsible Vietnamese family. This spirit was not only reflected in their outstanding performance in the competition but also in the positive values they shared with the community.
