Recently, high school TDSers had the opportunity to embark on an industry experience trip at three major companies in the food & beverage sector: Tây Đô Packaging Company, Bảo Ngọc Investment Group JSC, and Sài Gòn Beer – Phú Thọ JSC. Organized by the Career & University Counseling Office, this initiative aimed to broaden students’ understanding of real-world workplaces and provide a comprehensive, in-depth perspective on various industries.
At Tây Đô Packaging Company, students got a firsthand look at the factory’s production line and explored the packaging manufacturing process—a crucial component of the food & beverage industry. From design and printing to final product completion, every step requires precision and creativity.
Meanwhile, at Bảo Ngọc Investment Group JSC, students toured the corporate offices, engaged with professionals, and participated in interactive activities to gain deeper insights into the company and its operations.
At Sài Gòn Beer – Phú Thọ JSC, students had the chance to observe the beer production, packaging, and quality control processes utilizing state-of-the-art technology. This hands-on experience provided valuable insights into the operations of a large-scale food production facility.
Seeing the production equipment up close and even operating parts of the production line firsthand amazed many TDSers, offering new perspectives on the food & beverage industry. They discovered that in retail businesses, marketing isn’t the only priority—investing in product quality is equally essential. Quang Minh (12Detroit) excitedly shared: “Before, I only knew about manufacturing through textbooks, but seeing the production line in action gave me a true sense of its scale and complexity. This trip gave me a much clearer understanding of the food production industry.”
A representative from Bảo Ngọc Investment Group JSC also expressed admiration for the enthusiasm of TDSers:
“I’m truly impressed by Dewey’s career exploration activities. Even though the students are only in grade 10, they actively asked insightful questions, showing a genuine interest in career orientation. I believe that organizing such experiential activities helps students develop an open mindset and gain practical insights into production-related jobs. We hope this experience will help them make better career decisions in the future.”
This real-world learning experience provided students with an invaluable opportunity to discover, learn, and be inspired—empowering them to build a strong foundation for their future career paths!
