Last weekend, The Dewey Schools was filled with excitement and vibrant energy as STEAM Fair 2025 unfolded — a true “circus of knowledge” where TDSers and their parents came together to explore, learn, and experience the magical world of science and art.
Throughout their journey across 15 interactive experience stations, our young learners transformed into real little scientists: crafting mesmerizing lava lamps, molding mysterious slime, and pushing boundaries with the dramatic fireproof balloon experiment. Each station opened a lively gateway to knowledge, where physics, chemistry, and art intertwined seamlessly in every hands-on activity.
The excitement soared even higher with the STEAM Competition, where TDSers confidently showcased their innovative products by applying the 5-step Design Thinking process. Outstanding projects included experiments on how salt concentration affects osmosis in fruits, automatic watering devices, and self-organizing task mats. These creative ideas and practical models were a true testament to the rich imagination and bold, can-do spirit of Dewey’s young innovators.
Meanwhile, the Gym buzzed with cheers and laughter as the thrilling Quiz Bowl competition unfolded. Challenging questions in science, math, and art tested the speed, sharp thinking, and teamwork of our TDSers, turning every moment into a vibrant celebration of knowledge.
STEAM Fair 2025 may have concluded, but the seeds of passion, curiosity, and the thirst for discovery it planted will continue to flourish in every young heart. Thank you, TDSers and parents, for coming together to create such a spectacular and unforgettable celebration!
