II. Reminder: What to Bring on SAT Test Day
There are only a few things you really need to bring on test day and a lot of things you’ll be better off leaving at home. Be sure to bring:
- Your fully charged testing device with the Bluebook™ application installed (see detailed Approved Testing Device) along with charger, if applicable.
- Your up-to-date Admission Ticket.
- A valid citizen ID card or passport (Note: for International Candidates taking the test in Vietnam, only a valid passport will be accepted). Please check SAT ID Requirements for detailed requirements.
- Pencils or pens for scratch work.
- An acceptable calculator for use on the Math section of the test (there will be an embedded graphing calculator available to use within Bluebook or you can check the SAT Calculator Policy for which calculator you can bring on test day; the school does not supply calculators during the exam).
Nice to Have:
- A watch without an audible alarm. (The Bluebook application has a built-in timer that tells you exactly how much time you have left, but you might still want to time your break.)
- A charging cable if your testing device can’t hold a charge for 3 hours.
- A bag or backpack.
- A drink or snacks (for your break).
- A backup testing device.
Please check What to Expect on Test Day for more details.
III. Prohibited Devices
The following devices and aids aren’t allowed in the test center:
- Mobile phones (which can be used to present the admission ticket, but after check-in must be collected or stored away from desks), smartwatches, fitness trackers, or other wearable technology (simple digital non-smartwatches or analog watches are acceptable)
- Audio players or recorders, notebooks, Bluetooth devices (such as wireless earbuds/headphones), or any other personal computing devices not used as the actual or backup testing device
- Separate timers of any type
- Cameras or any other photographic equipment
- Highlighters or colored pencils
- Books or references of any kind
- Compasses, rulers, protractors, or cutting devices
- Papers of any kind, including scratch paper
- Earplugs
- Unacceptable calculators that have computer-style (QWERTY) keyboards, use paper tape, make noise, or use a power cord
- Privacy screens
- Weapons or firearms
Penalties for Prohibited Devices:
If your prohibited electronic device makes noise or you’re seen accessing it at any time, including during breaks, you may be dismissed immediately, your scores can be canceled, and the device may be confiscated and its contents inspected.
The test administration staff is required to collect and hold phones and other prohibited electronic devices or to require students to place them in backpacks away from their desks during the test administration, including break periods, or to deny admission to anyone who has possession of a prohibited electronic device to enter the testing room.
IV. Test Results
Candidates can access their scores via the account created on https://mysat.collegeboard.org approximately two weeks following the test date. Additionally, score reports can be sent to universities in the United States or elsewhere as required.
Score reports and SAT Certificates remain valid for a period of five years.
V. SAT Terms and Conditions
Candidates should carefully read the SAT Terms and Conditions before taking the exam and confirm the candidate contact details in case College Board needs to get in contact with you.
Thank you.
