One corner of the classroom buzzed with colorful posters still fresh with paint, while nearby, groups of students engaged in lively debates, and others rehearsed English-language plays filled with emotion. This was the vibrant atmosphere of International Day 2026 at Dewey Cau Giay. With the theme “Many Stories, One World,” each TDSer became a cultural ambassador, guiding “visitors” through immersive journeys across fascinating parts of the world.

Over several weeks, TDSers explored different cultures through research, selection, and the creation of personalized products such as posters, mini books, and presentations. In their roles as “cultural ambassadors,” students used English as an academic tool to lead audiences through diverse aspects of global cultures—from traditional costumes and unique festivals to stories reflecting everyday life and people.
These learning products reflected the diversity of students’ perspectives. Some groups analyzed the role of sports in community life, others examined the influence of food advertising on consumer behavior, while some explored women’s rights across historical periods.

In middle school classes, discussions, debates, and critical exchanges reached even greater depth. At the Model United Nations simulation in Class 8 Oslo, students tackled global issues such as food security, labor markets, and international cooperation. They actively presented viewpoints, listened to diverse perspectives, and continuously refined their arguments throughout the dialogue. English became a powerful tool for expressing analytical thinking, research skills, and the ability to expand on complex topics.

When language is connected with experience and critical thinking, learning goes beyond textbooks and becomes a journey of global exploration. In that journey, each TDSer brings their own perspective, experience, and interpretation—together building understanding and connecting with the world. Through these experiences, Dewey believes that TDSers are truly ready to become responsible global citizens who listen, engage, and create change through their own voices.
