Recently, 11th and 12th-grade TDSers from The Dewey Schools, both from Tay Ho Tay and Hai Phong campuses, had an engaging experience at Vin University, one of the pioneering universities in Vietnam in terms of education, research, and entrepreneurship.
During this visit, Dewey students had the privilege of participating in the event “Welcoming the Future: Exchange with the Winner of the Vin Future Awards.” They had the opportunity to listen to distinguished guests, award-winning scientists, who shared inspirational life stories filled with challenges, difficulties, and valuable experiences accumulated over many years of work, research, and dedication.
A TDSer from 12Madrid expressed, “There are no words to describe my emotions right now as I listen to the stories from professors and experts who have made significant contributions to the world. I feel honored and inspired to be present at today’s exchange.”
Beyond the inspiration gained from this meaningful event, it was also an opportunity for 11th and 12th-grade students to expand their knowledge through insightful talks from scientists. This experience enriched their understanding and passion for various fields such as green energy, healthcare, and more.
Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, University and Career Counseling Office at The Dewey Schools, stated, “This visit to Vin University is a fantastic experiential opportunity for our 11th and 12th-grade students, especially as they participate in the exchange session with the winner of the Vin Future Awards. This is an opportunity not every high school student gets. Through the insights shared by world-renowned scientists, students gain a realistic perspective on engaging in scientific research, enabling them to make choices aligned with their passions.”
Finally, the visit is also a chance for TDSers to personally experience the innovative entrepreneurial and research-oriented training model, an international learning environment with modern facilities, and to interact with students at Vin University. This allows them to have a clearer vision of the ideal university setting they aspire to.
