Behind the thrilling competitions of the recent Dewey Sports Tournament were the dedicated members of the organizing team, with the Dewey Student Council (DSC) playing a pivotal role.

In close collaboration with the School and faculty, DSC took charge of key organizational tasks: registering over 1,000 athletes, supporting operations, managing communications, and connecting students. Drawing on experience from previous events, members confidently delegated responsibilities and coordinated seamlessly. Mr. Tuấn Anh shared, “Thanks to the proactiveness, responsibility, and diligent work of the DSC members, every task was well-managed, operations ran smoothly, and the tournament was fair, professional, and truly inspiring.”

By directly organizing and coordinating the tournament, students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, honing leadership skills, teamwork, and, above all, fostering a sense of autonomy. Hoàng Anh, DSC President for the 2024–2025 term, remarked: “Being directly involved in the tournament’s operations made me deeply appreciate the responsibility and value of collective effort. Every task, no matter how small, contributes to the overall success. My greatest hope is to see more students step up to organize student-led events, ensuring that future TDSers experience a Dewey community that is increasingly connected and thriving.”

These invaluable experiences also helped DSC members cultivate the mindset and skills of global citizens—confident, dynamic, and ready to collaborate and adapt.
