Within every person lies a unique emotional landscape. For many students, naming or expressing these feelings in words is not always easy. That is why the exhibition “Voices of the Hands” was created—to provide a safe space where students can freely express their inner worlds through the language of creativity and art.
If Visual Arts serves as the medium through which Grade 5 students tell their stories using composition, colors, and lines, Vietnamese Language and Literature allows them to convey their thoughts and emotions through words. These two streams of creativity come together, forming vivid works that reflect the students’ inner worlds.

Throughout the project, students were guided by reflective questions such as: “What moves me the most?” and “What do I want the audience to feel?” These questions invited them to pause, listen to their inner voices, and discover the messages they wished to share. Not every student found their ideas immediately. Many spent time reflecting, experimenting, and patiently searching for inspiration. With the guidance and encouragement of their teachers, each idea gradually took shape. Every completed piece carries the distinct personal mark and story of its creator.
Nguyễn Vũ Khánh Toàn (5 Tunis), the creator of the painting “Peacefulness,” shared a simple yet heartfelt thought while presenting his work:“I encourage everyone to draw a picture. It doesn’t have to be perfect—just draw something that expresses your thoughts. A beautiful painting is one that is drawn with your whole heart.”

Some students illustrated the warmth of a family gathering at sunset as a reminder of the value of love and togetherness. Others chose the image of a rainbow after the rain to represent hope and optimism in life.
Witnessing both the artworks and the students’ presentations, many parents expressed their emotions and surprise. Ms. Lê Hồng Nhung, parent of Võ Hồng Anh (5 Dodoma), shared: “The teachers’ creative teaching methods make knowledge more relatable and leave a deeper impression on the children. The school not only focuses on academic learning but also nurtures students’ inner worlds and guides them toward meaningful values in life.”

The exhibition “Voices of the Hands” opens a journey for students to discover themselves and learn to listen to their inner voices. Through these experiences, TDSers gradually nurture their imagination, confidence, and self-awareness. The seeds of creativity planted today will one day grow into a lasting source of inspiration, empowering them to continue writing their own meaningful stories.
