The Dewey Schools proudly wrap up the 2024-2025 academic year with a beautiful ending to the journey of “Beyond The Blueprint – Mapping Your Own Way”. We celebrate a 100% graduation rate among our Grade 12 students, each confidently stepping into their futures with resilience and a distinct sense of self. Behind these achievements are 78 unique stories of growth-each shaped by an educational environment that places differentiated instruction at its heart, where every student is respected for their individuality and empowered to develop their abilities in their own way.

Building on these positive outcomes, The Dewey Schools will continue to champion differentiated instruction as the cornerstone of our teaching philosophy for the 2025-2026 academic year. We remain steadfast in our mission to personalize each student’s learning journey, helping them carve their own paths and confidently define their identities as lifelong learners.
At The Dewey Schools, teachers continuously adapt their instructional methods to align with students’ readiness levels, interests, and learning profiles – including learning styles, cognitive strengths, and thinking preferences. Differentiated Content: Learning materials are carefully selected and tiered to suit students’ varying levels of understanding.

Differentiated Process: Lessons are designed with a range of learning options and varying levels of support to meet individual needs.

Differentiated Product: Students are encouraged to demonstrate their understanding through creative formats such as letters, design projects, mind maps, films, and more.
One standout example of differentiated instruction in action last year was the Literature project “The World as I Wish It To Be.” Students had the freedom to choose how to present their learning – whether through writing scripts, producing short films, or designing creative products – based on their preferred learning approach. Through this process, they not only explored their creativity but also took initiative in research, presentation, and critical discussion – essential skills for becoming global citizens.
Looking ahead to 2025-2026, The Dewey Schools are committed to consistently and comprehensively implementing differentiated instruction across all teaching activities. We will continue to enrich our learning materials, diversify instructional strategies, and cultivate flexible classroom environments – ensuring that each student can access knowledge in a way that best suits their needs.
