Did you know that superheroes like Captain America, Wonder Woman, or Black Panther are not just fictional characters but also reflections of history and society?
In a recent Humanities class, the students of 10Burlington were impressed with a series of unique presentations exploring the connection between superheroes and American history. Using familiar figures from the Marvel universe, TDSers brought to life key historical events such as World War II, the women’s rights movement, and the civil rights struggle. Their presentations beautifully illustrated how these fictional characters reflect America’s cultural, social, and political values across different eras.
Fueled by passion and creativity, TDSers transformed historical milestones into vibrant, relatable, and inspiring stories. This engaging Humanities lesson deepened their understanding of history and encouraged creative perspectives, critical thinking, and public speaking skills.
