The Dewey Schools proudly congratulate Hoàng Minh Châu (9Zurich) for achieving Third Prize in English at the Hanoi City-Level Excellent Student Competition.

Recognized as one of the most academically rigorous competitions at the secondary level, this year’s contest gathered nearly 4,500 students from schools across Hanoi. The English examination, in particular, was designed with an advanced academic orientation, requiring contestants to demonstrate mastery of complex grammatical structures as well as the ability to apply language flexibly in open-ended, critical-thinking questions.
Despite participating in a large-scale academic competition for the first time, Minh Châu demonstrated remarkable confidence, supported by the strong academic foundation built at Dewey. Minh Châu shared that subjects within the IB Programme have helped develop critical thinking and analytical skills, enabling her to apply social knowledge effectively in essay writing. The reading culture fostered at Dewey has also played a significant role in expanding her vocabulary and strengthening her English expression.
Minh Châu’s achievement is not only a proud milestone in her personal academic journey but also a clear testament to the solid academic foundation and progressive educational environment at The Dewey Schools. Through diverse and enriching learning experiences, TDSers continue to unlock their potential and confidently pursue academic opportunities at both national and international levels.
