After just one month of launch, the “Online Safe – Online Smart” competition at Dewey Tây Hồ Tây received nearly 250 submissions. Each entry—from short films, podcasts, and illustrations to comic strips—showcased students’ serious investment, creativity, and deep understanding of digital safety and mental well-being in the online environment.

What impressed the Judges the most was the way students skillfully incorporated highly realistic and timely scenarios such as sophisticated online scams, psychological manipulation of users, and the impact of social media on emotions and perception. Not only did these works accurately reflect the pressing issues of today’s digital world, but they also demonstrated strong storytelling abilities, effectively delivering cautionary and educational messages in a relatable, vivid, and human-centered manner.

Ms. Đỗ Thu Thảo, ICT Teacher and member of the Judging Panel, shared, “Through their submissions, students have clearly demonstrated the qualities and competencies of digital citizens in the modern era. They not only applied their knowledge, critical thinking, and creativity to their products, but also showcased digital communication and collaboration skills by sharing ideas, working in teams, and creating socially meaningful projects. More importantly, I could strongly sense their ethical and emotional intelligence in the digital space. They put heart into technology, showed care for mental well-being, and expressed a desire to build a safe, positive, and compassionate online environment for the community.”
Congratulations to all outstanding entries that have received awards this year! We hope that the message of digital safety will continue to spread far beyond this competition.
