Continuing the series of exciting events at the beginning of the year, the very first flag ceremony of the 2025–2026 school year at The Dewey Schools Hai Phong took place in a solemn yet warm atmosphere. The moment of honoring students who had achieved awards in academics and the arts recently spread a sense of pride and at the same time ignited determination and motivation for the entire Dewey community to reach higher in the new school year.

The ceremony became even more meaningful as students joined hands in a fundraising campaign to support the people of Cuba. Every act of giving, no matter how small, carried the heartfelt compassion of youth, reflecting the spirit of kindness, solidarity, and social responsibility nurtured within Dewey students.

Especially at the Secondary flag ceremony, teachers and students had the chance to listen to a meaningful sharing session from Captain Đỗ Quang Thái—Propaganda Officer of Hai Phong Police—with the topic “Raising Awareness on E-cigarette Prevention.”

Beyond general information, he provided an in-depth analysis of the health risks, psychological impacts, and even legal consequences that e-cigarettes can pose to young people. His talk, supported by real-life examples close to students’ daily lives, also came with practical advice to help them protect themselves, value their health, and firmly say “no” to hidden temptations.
