These compelling statements were delivered by two exceptional candidates for the position of President of the Dewey Tay Ho Tay Student Council for the 2025–2026 academic year, reflecting the image of student leaders who embody courage, accountability, vision, and perseverance in the pursuit of their goals.



Both Nguyen Trung Kien (12 Denver) and Gong Yun Bi (11 Denton) are well-recognized student leaders who have previously served as Vice Presidents of the DSC. Through these roles, they have accumulated extensive experience in leadership, organizational management, and event coordination, contributing to hallmark student initiatives such as Prom ’25, TEDx Dewey, and Club Fair.

Before an audience of middle and high school students, the two candidates ignited the atmosphere with their confident and articulate presentations in English, articulating their determination and strategic vision for advancing the DSC. While Trung Kien distinguished himself through his dynamism and active engagement in extracurricular activities, emphasizing the creation of a high-quality learning environment where every student’s voice is valued, Yun Bi inspired with her creativity and forward-thinking approach, highlighting the importance of unlocking individual potential and fostering an inclusive, diverse student community.
