The beginning of the new school year at Dewey feels even more exciting as a special meeting draws near. During the summer break, TDSers stayed connected, joined online meetings with their teachers, shared ideas, and planned what they wanted to bring to Pa Ling.

And when they returned to school after the summer break, those ideas came to life through meaningful gifts and activities prepared by the students themselves: engaging science experiments, fun English lessons, hand-painted artwork, creative arts activities, visits and encouragement for families facing difficult circumstances, and performances rehearsed with great excitement. Each Dewey campus is bringing something unique, yet they are all united by the same hope: to make this first meeting with the students of Pa Ling one filled with joy, generosity, and meaningful connections.

For Dewey students, the preparation process is also a journey of learning. They have the opportunity to develop their own ideas, work in teams, divide responsibilities, experiment, and make adjustments to create activities that are meaningful and suitable for the children of Pa Ling. Through this journey, each TDSer can strengthen their initiative, collaborative spirit, and ability to turn their knowledge and skills into meaningful contributions to the community.
From online meetings throughout the summer to the very first days of the new school year, everyone is now looking forward to the same destination.
Pa Ling, E-Dream is getting ready to hit the road! See you on August 24!
