With student safety always a top priority, yesterday afternoon, The Dewey Schools Hai Phong organized a Fire Prevention and Fighting (FPF) drill with the participation of more than 1,000 students, teachers, and staff, under the observation of local authorities in Hai Phong.
As soon as the fire alarm sounded, the entire school immediately followed the emergency response procedures. Teachers promptly distributed face masks and guided students along designated evacuation routes. All movements were carried out in a coordinated manner, ensuring that students exited the hazardous area safely and in an orderly fashion.

At the same time, specialized teams worked in close coordination according to their assigned roles. The Technical Team cut off electricity in the affected area; the Evacuation Support Team quickly reached classrooms to assist teachers and students in moving safely down the stairways. The on-site Firefighting Team was promptly deployed, using professional equipment to contain the fire, while the Asset Protection Team actively relocated important items away from danger.

In the simulated scenario, a student trapped at the scene was quickly rescued by the firefighting force and transported out on a stretcher. At the assembly point, the Medical Team immediately carried out all necessary first aid procedures. The entire process was executed in a synchronized, professional, and well-coordinated manner.
At The Dewey Schools, student safety goes beyond written commitments. It is built upon a comprehensive system of thorough preparation and regular practice, ensuring that every student learns in a safe, proactive, and well-prepared environment.

We warmly invite parents to take a look at the photos below to better understand the school’s fire safety efforts.
