The March flag ceremony at The Dewey Schools Ocean Park began in a lively atmosphere as TDSers looked back on memorable highlights from February through a recap video created by the classes themselves. Familiar moments from classrooms, extracurricular activities, and special events brought back the energy of a vibrant and inspiring month of learning.

Following that were the proud and meaningful moments of the recognition ceremony. One by one, individuals and teams confidently stepped onto the stage, marking their persistent efforts in both learning and personal development. Every round of applause became a source of motivation for TDSers to continue striving toward new goals.
A highlight of the Middle and High School flag ceremony came from presentations by Grade 6 Berlin and Grade 10 Havana on the topic “Digital Citizenship: Staying Safe When Using Electronic Devices.” Through the game “Look at the Picture, Guess the Message,” TDSers gained a deeper understanding of how to use technology safely, responsibly, and respectfully in the digital world.

Meanwhile, during the Elementary School ceremony, a video titled “Global Citizenship and Intercultural Learning,” created by students from Grade 2 Osaka, offered an engaging perspective on respecting differences, building connections, and embracing Dewey’s multicultural learning environment.
The March flag ceremony concluded with many meaningful emotions. Each TDSer carried a sense of pride for their journey so far and renewed motivation for the path ahead. Wishing everyone a March filled with joyful learning, positive energy, and many more exciting discoveries at Dewey!
