At the age of 17, releasing a debut album with over 14 songs on major platforms, Ta Nguyen Duy Anh—an alumnus of The Dewey Schools Hai Phong—has shone through his artistic creativity and persistent journey of self-discovery. Behind this achievement lies a story of being heard, having differences respected, and step-by-step nurturing passion within the learning environment of The Dewey Schools.

Without a professional studio, the seeds of Duy Anh’s musical passion sprouted from the songs of Dan Truong and the lingering question: “How can I fully convey emotions through music?” Those seeds continued to be nurtured and flourished at The Dewey Schools.
For Duy Anh, five years at Dewey were a meaningful journey: “I am who I am today because Dewey always listened and allowed me to be different. Dewey taught me so much about life and helped me refine myself in music. I received formal training in rhythm and music theory… but more importantly, I learned how to live authentically and keep my word. I channel those values into my music. To this day, I always cherish the four core values at Dewey: Integrity, Passion, Generosity, and Lifelong Learning,” Duy Anh shared.

If music is a private space for Duy Anh’s internal dialogue, then D-Show 2025—the largest talent search at The Dewey Schools—was the first time he brought that inner world to the stage. There, Duy Anh learned to harmonize his individual ego with collective goals, practicing empathy, listening to feedback, working with discipline, and standing firm under pressure.
These experiences provided him with lessons that go far beyond performance: responsibility for one’s words, honesty with emotions, fearlessness in the face of challenges, and a spirit of continuous learning.

What is remarkable is that despite his serious commitment to music, Duy Anh does not see art as his only path. He chose to attend Foreign Trade University, bringing with him a solid foundation of critical thinking, confidence, and self-mastery. Music is not separate from academics; instead, it becomes an inspirational flow that helps him stay balanced, creative, and resilient in a university environment.
Roles as an MC, interdisciplinary projects, and diverse experiential activities at Dewey helped Duy Anh hone his communication skills, critical thinking, and sense of responsibility—core competencies that allow him to adapt and thrive on any path he chooses.

At The Dewey Schools, passion is not confined to a specific career. It is how the school nurtures a rich soul and a brave heart in students, enabling them to understand themselves, know what they want, and grow with the autonomy and courage to walk their own unique journeys.
