As a graduating student, Minh Ngọc (12Austin) rarely misses career-oriented events at Dewey. Attending this year’s Career Fair, she was particularly impressed by the event’s fresh and innovative format. Instead of being held in the Gym as in previous years, the workshops took place right inside familiar classrooms, each dedicated to a specific career cluster that students were interested in. Moving beyond brief Q&A sessions, the Career Fair offered Minh Ngọc a more comprehensive, visual, and in-depth picture of the nature of each profession through detailed slides, charts, and real-life images and career stories.
Like Minh Ngọc, many students showed great enthusiasm for this year’s new Career Fair format. They actively engaged in discussions and asked practical questions to the speakers about career pathways, required competencies for each field, and job prospects in the context of an ever-evolving labor market. This positive level of interaction reflects students’ seriousness in planning for their future and their ability to proactively shape their own development journeys.
“Through the speakers’ sharing sessions, I gained a deeper understanding of the marketing industry—where stories and experiences are delivered to customers through each product. I feel truly honored to participate in this year’s Career Fair and deeply grateful to the speakers for their enthusiastic guidance, which has motivated us greatly for the journey ahead,” shared Phương Uyên (10Edmonton).
Attending the Dewey Career Fair for the third time, Mr. Đặng Minh Quang—a speaker in business and entrepreneurship—was still impressed by the proactive spirit of Dewey students: proactive in exploring career options, proactive in learning and sharing, and proactive in shaping their future. “The students’ enthusiasm has inspired us to give our best and wholeheartedly support them throughout the event,” he remarked.
Career Fair is not just a career event—it is an important stepping stone that empowers TDSers to feel more confident on their journey of self-discovery and future shaping.
