Recently, representatives from Mount Vernon School (MVS) visited and worked with The Dewey Schools Tay Ho Tay. This annual visit reaffirms the strong international partnership that has flourished over the past four years between Dewey and MVS, enhancing the quality of the U.S.-standard Adventure International Transfer Program.

During the visit, MVS experts conducted training sessions, professional discussions, and classroom observations at the Tay Ho Tay campus. Mr. Jared Colley – Director of Academic and Innovation at Mount Vernon – acknowledged the school’s positive advancements, “One of the things we’re most impressed by is the students’ creativity, design thinking, and passion for learning. Dewey’s teaching team has been effectively applying differentiated instruction strategies introduced last school year. We’ve seen how excited students are to learn in such a dynamic, experience-rich environment.”

The delegation also met directly with Adventure Program students, helping them gain deeper insights into school life in the U.S. For 12th graders currently studying online at Dewey, Ms. Kristy Lundstrom – Head of School and Executive Director of MVS – listened and provided support to ensure they enjoy an authentic learning experience comparable to their U.S. peers, undisturbed by geographical distance.

A highlight of this visit was the Adventure Parent Seminar, where Ms. Kristy Lundstrom reaffirmed MVS’s commitment to delivering internationally benchmarked education to Dewey students right here in Vietnam. Original U.S. courses such as Humanities, MDE Invention, and Visual Arts are directly inspected and quality-assessed annually by MVS experts.

The achievements of Dewey’s 12th-grade students (Class of 2024–2025) pursuing the dual Vietnam–U.S. high school diploma pathway are clear “fruits” of this international collaboration. They have gained admission to prestigious universities including Boston University and Furman University, earned high-value scholarships at leading Vietnamese international universities such as VinUni, and even secured places at top Korean universities like Yonsei University and Sungkyunkwan University through Mount Vernon’s online program.
This enduring partnership provides a solid foundation for Dewey students to confidently pursue admission to renowned universities worldwide.
