Founded on September 5, 2024, the Dewey Tây Hồ Tây Community Fund has, within just one year, made a meaningful mark through a series of impactful charitable projects, reaffirming its mission to spread kindness and the spirit of “Giving is Forever.” The Fund has become a bridge connecting Dewey teachers, students, and parents, joining hands to create positive values for the community.

In the 2024–2025 school year, with the joint efforts of the School, the Parent Council, and generous benefactors, the Fund raised over 850 million VND, planting seeds of hope for those in need and nurturing dreams for students across provinces such as Lào Cai, Yên Bái, Nghệ An, and Quảng Bình. Over the past year, the Dewey Tây Hồ Tây Community Fund successfully carried out six major initiatives:

September 2024 – “Loving Mid-Autumn”: Delivered over 400 gifts to young patients at E Hospital, Xanh Pôn Hospital, and Hanoi Traditional Medicine Hospital.

September 2024 – “Seeds of Dreams”: Organized cultural and historical tours of Hanoi and a learning experience at Dewey for students from Bố Trạch Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities (Quảng Bình).

October 2024 – “Extending Compassion After Typhoon Yagi”: Contributed 50 million VND to support northern communities affected by the storm; donated warm clothes and essentials to children at Phìn Ngan and Bản Xèo preschools (Bát Xát, Lào Cai); and provided nearly 100 million VND to improve facilities, install roofing, and build safety fences at both schools.

January 2025 – “Spring of Love”: Gave Tet gifts to 180 children and elderly people at Hanoi’s Social Protection Center No. 3, alongside workshops in bracelet-making, statue painting, and interactive games.

May 2025 – “Journey of Kindness”: Launched the “Warm Clothes for Children” program, collecting over 600 sets of clothing, scarves, and hats for students at Bảo Nam 1 Boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minorities (Nghệ An).

May 2025 – “Supporting Children’s Steps to School”: Constructed a community bridge in Tính Luất Hamlet – Nghĩa Tâm – Văn Chấn (Yên Bái), helped upgrade Nghĩa Tâm Primary School facilities, and organized exchanges and experiential activities with local students.

Beyond bringing joy and practical support to disadvantaged communities, these projects also inspired Dewey students to embrace the spirit of giving, appreciate the value of sharing, and cultivate compassion and social responsibility. By directly participating in fundraising and project implementation, students strengthened their initiative, creativity, and life skills—and most importantly, nurtured loving hearts, invaluable foundations for becoming kind citizens and future leaders.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our parents, benefactors, and the Dewey community of teachers and students who made this memorable journey of the Dewey Tây Hồ Tây Community Fund possible. Despite busy schedules, late evenings, and long distances, members of the Fund have remained dedicated and passionate, spreading love through even the smallest actions. We look forward to continuing this journey of compassion together in the new school year, spreading even greater kindness to the community.
