The new academic year at Dewey kicks off with a vibrant and energetic Orientation Week!
With the spirit of “breaking the mold and creating their own path,” TDSers have begun designing a personal “roadmap” for themselves. Their student planners are filled with goals and personal development plans for the year ahead. Students are also trained to leverage technology to enhance their learning while practicing how to use it safely and responsibly in the digital era.

During Orientation Week, TDSers are introduced to Dewey’s three foundational pedagogical pillars: High-Quality Teaching & Learning, Global Citizenship & Intercultural Learning, and Digital Citizenship. These principles will serve as guiding beacons throughout their learning journey this year. Alongside this, students explore Dewey’s culture and core values, learning to respect differences, embrace diversity, and build meaningful relationships.

A highlight of the first week was a session with a psychology expert, where students also learned about the role of Dewey’s Psychology Department. They completed personality assessments to better understand themselves, supporting personalized learning and development aligned with their strengths—an approach central to Dewey’s philosophy of differentiated instruction.

Beyond orientation classes, TDSers engaged in dynamic sports activities and team-building games, strengthening friendships, teamwork, and a strong sense of community at Dewey.

With such an inspiring and experience-rich beginning, TDSers are ready to embark on a breakthrough school year—confidently exploring themselves, conquering knowledge, and embracing countless new opportunities ahead!
