After a summer of “quiet rest,” every corner of Dewey’s schoolyard and hallways once again came alive with the patter of small footsteps, joyful laughter, and excited chatter of TDSers. Warm hugs from teachers, the reassuring grasp of parents’ hands, and the friendly arm-over-shoulder of classmates filled the first day of school with a sense of love and belonging. These moments and cheerful sounds ignited a fresh burst of energy for the journey ahead—one that embraces the theme: Beyond the blueprint, Mapping your own way.

The 2025–2026 academic year marks a special milestone for the Edufit Education System: 10 years of The Dewey Schools, 5 years of operation for the Tây Hồ Tây campus, and 15 years of Sakura Schools. From its very first preschool classes, Sakura Schools has sown seeds of love, nurtured independence, compassion, and curiosity in every student. Building on that legacy, Dewey has continuously innovated, leading the way in developing future leaders with sharp minds and a strong sense of responsibility. Speaking at the Back to School ceremony, Ms. Lô Thúy Hương – Director of the Vietnamese Primary Program – affirmed that the combination of Sakura and Dewey represents a harmonious symphony of love and resilience, a solid foundation paired with a pioneering spirit. Two journeys – one vision, united in the aspiration to build a liberal, experiential education.

The confident, radiant performances of TDSers on the Back to School stage embodied that commitment. The medley “This Is Me – Try Everything” rang out as a proud declaration of the Dewey student generation: “I dare to dream. I dare to be different. I am ready to face challenges, even if I stumble. I am myself, and I will never give up.” It was the voice of young people unafraid to express themselves, embrace challenges, and constantly push their own limits. At Dewey, every student is inspired to take ownership of their learning, encouraged to think independently and creatively, and above all, empowered to be themselves—confidently and proudly.

The resounding beat of the school drum echoed through the hearts of TDSers like a bright, hopeful melody. A new journey has begun, inviting them to step forward with curiosity and an open mind. Immerse yourself in Dewey’s multicultural environment with confidence and your own unique identity—for each of you is a vibrant piece of the colorful Dewey mosaic. And just like the song “I Am Extraordinary” that closed the Back to School celebration, may you always remember:
I am truly extraordinary
I am now resilient and strong
When I am myself, I stand tall in the eyes of others
I am truly extraordinary
I am like a sunflower in bloom
When light shines upon me, I glow like the stars.
