On October 1st, The Dewey Schools’ Career and University Counseling Office successfully organized the 2024 University Fair, with the participation of all students from grades 9 to 12 and 80 universities from 12 countries, including Vietnam. This is one of the largest annual career guidance events of the school year, aimed at providing students with career orientation, supporting their university research, and preparing early for university applications.
Notably, this is also the first year the school has collaborated with the U.S. Embassy to allow Dewey students to directly connect and interact with representatives from 38 U.S. universities and colleges.
Through 1:1 consultations with university representatives, TDSers had the chance to receive the latest updates on the 2024-2025 admissions cycle, application procedures, and scholarship opportunities. Additionally, the representatives shared valuable insights into the newest, most practical fields of study, along with training programs that include paid internships, job opportunities, and support for international students. For students planning to study abroad, they were also able to hear firsthand experiences about academic pathways and life abroad, helping them better prepare for their future studies.
TDSer Kim Minseo (12Austin) shared, “I found this year’s University Fair to have many new and prestigious universities from around the world, which drew a lot of interest and excitement from students. As a senior, I was able to gather information from several universities here to finalize my application. The opportunity to meet and ask questions directly with university representatives has given me a clearer perspective on my goals and study plans, helping me align them with my abilities and strengths.”
Nguyen Duy Minh Khoi, a TDSer of 9Praha at Dewey Cau Giay, enthusiastically shared: “For me, the Dewey University Fair 2024 was a very interesting and valuable event. I took full advantage of the time to speak with and learn about seven different universities. The questions I focused on were related to: fields of study, academic pathways, admission requirements, and especially future job prospects for each major. Early preparation will help me create a clear academic plan with specific goals, and the support from my teachers will be the ideal foundation for me to achieve those goals.”
The Dewey University Fair 2024 has truly become a valuable bridge between TDSers and prestigious universities around the world. The school believes that this event will serve as a catalyst, inspiring and unlocking dream destinations for TDSers as they explore and build their own pathways to university.
